Within a framework of working and cultural heritage education, United States Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Daniel Kritenbrink accompanied a Congressional Delegation to pay an official visit to the Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam on April 18, 2019. The five Senators (Senator Tim Kaine, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Senator Tammy Baldwin, Senator Tom Udall and Senator Lisa Murkowski) were accompanied by alumni of the Access English language program which is financed by the United States Government.
During their visit, delegates listened to history about the establishment of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam and traditional fondness of learning in Vietnam, as well as, gaining a better understanding about long – lasting education in Vietnam and sharing great traditions with younger generations.
At the end of visit, Ambassador Kritenbrink and the Congressional Delegation thanked the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activity Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam for the warm welcome and for the highly valuable information about the history of Vietnam.
