At the invitation of the Chairwoman of Parliament, Mrs Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairman of the Parliament of Islamic Republic of Iran – Mr.Ali Ardeshir Larijani paid an official visit to Vietnam from 15th-18th April, 2018.
During his visit to Vietnam, he visited Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam in April 17th. During the time in Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam, he listened to a presentation of the history of the historic site. Moreover, he took a special interest in 82 stone stelae, the World Documentary Heritage and also in the history of Vietnamese education, the fondness for learning and traditional talent-honouring practices

Especially, Mr.Ali Ardeshir Larijani expressed his deep admiration for teacher Chu Van An, one of the headmasters of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam. Mr.Ali Ardeshir Larijani appreciated his talent and righteousness and Vietnamese traditional practices of venerating teachers and moral principles.

Before finishing the visit, Mr.Ali Ardeshir Larijani wrote on the guestbook of the Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam: “During the visit to Viet Nam, I have the opportunity to visit beautiful Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam, a wonderful historic site. This site has a long history of ideology and studying. I find the visit to be meaningful and educational. I understand that a great nation like Vietnam has a deep civilization during the struggle against the enemy. I hope the relationship between Iranian and Vietnamese will be more and more close. I wish you great success.”
