Over the years, Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam has been taking the initiatives in cooperating with administrative units in provinces, this has created good conditions for research, conservation and promotion of heritage values among Confucian relics all over the nation.
The Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities-Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam was founded in 1988 when the nation was taking its first steps into a period of renewal and international integration. Over the past three decades, generations of leaders and officials of the Center have made great efforts in preserving and promoting the relic. The Center has actively linked with the management units of Confucianism relics (temples, villaged, families) in localities throughout the country in the work of Research, preservation, collection and the promotion of the values of Confucian cultural heritage

The above-mentioned activities have contributed to strengthening the relationship between the Center and the cultural units and management units of Confucian monuments throughout the country, which helps to create more effective cooperation in preserving and promoting the value of Confucian cultural heritages. Over the past years, the Center with the advantage of favorable location(located in the center of the capital), undamaged relics and artifacts , and the supports from scientists and government, has attracted a geat number of tourists at home and abroad.
Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam in Hanoi has preserved Confucian cultural heritages of Vietnam that dated from nearly a thousand years; the Special National landmark has also preserved a collection of Doctor Steles that was inscribed in the Memory of World Register by Unesco, which is an advantage for the Center to expand its relationship with national monument management units, national monuments, especially monuments containing information related to Confucian studies, the history of examinations and famous Confucian scholars. The Center should also expand its relationship with the heritage management units in the country inscribed in the Memory of World Register and Asia-Pacific Regional Memory of the World In order to strengthen the relation between the Center and the Confucian management units, it is necessary to establish a club of management units throughout the country to enhance the cohesion among the units. With the development of science and technology, it is necessary to set up an information network among the units. The Center should also actively update its database, cooperate with other units to collect and store data on Confucian studies, examinations, education, training, as well as give supports to the units in sharing information. The relationship among units in the network can only be strong and effective when they help each other to develop.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam Thang Long, Hanoi (25/4/1988 - 25/4/2018), it is hoped that the relationship between the Center and other will be increasingly strengthened creating more effective activities in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the period of integration, era 4.0./.
