DELEGATES FROM REPUBLIC OF CUBA VISITED VAN MIEU – QUOC TU GIAM


On June 11, 2019, Delegates from the Republic of Cuba led by Mr. Homero Acosta Alvarez – Member of Communist Party of Cuba, member of National Assembly of People’s Power, and Council of State Secretary, visited Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam

During the visit, delegates listened to the history of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam and the history of Vietnam education through 82 stone stelae – a world documentary heritage.

At Thai Hoc, Mr. Homero Acosta Alvarez and delegates listened to Chu Van An’s life and career. Chu Van An (1292 – 1370) – The uprightous teacher of Vietnam. Mr. Homero Acosta Alvarez expressed his admiration of Chu Van An’s talent and virtue, and rejoiced knowing that UNESCO will organize an event to honor the 650th anniversary of the death of Chu Van An in 2019

Mr. Homero Acosta Alvarez shared that it was a such meaningful visit for him and his delegates. He stated Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam is a must – be – visited landmark for every tourist to learn about history, culture and education of Vietnam.
