On the afternoon of February, 25, 2019 National Archives Center IV in coordination with the Centre for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam organized the Exhibition on National Names and Capitals of Viet Nam in Woodblocks of Nguyen dynasty – World Documentary Heritage at Thai Hoc Courtyard of the Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.
These woodblocks were commonly used in Vietnam Feudal Era and were recognized as World Documentary Heritage by UNESCO on July 31, 2009. The national name is the official name of each country which is used in diplomatic relations, legislation or business. The name indicates the orthodoxy of a dynasty or government. The national name expresses the nation, territorial sovereignty and political regime of a nation in the international arena. The capital city is always highly valued by state institutions.
The exhibition also introduces visitors to 32 versions of woodblocks on national names and Capitals of Viet Nam.
The Exhibition will run from February 25, 2019 to March 25, 2019 at Thai Hoc Courtyard of the Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.
