On the afternoon of 13/6/2019, the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam in coordination with Institute of History and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund, and the Museum of Hai Duong organized the scientific seminar called “Cultural tradition, and the academic scholars of Tran family at Quoc Tuan commune, Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province”. The seminar took place in the Front Building of Thai Hoc Courtyard of The Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam
This seminar celebrated the 380th birthday of Doctoral Laureates Tran Tho (1639 – 2019), 335th birthday of Doctoral Laureates Tran Canh (1684-2019), 310th birthday of Doctoral Laureates Tran Tien ((1709-2019) – Doctors of the academic Tran Dien Tri family, Hai Duong province.

Trần Thọ 陳 碡 (1639-1700) passed the Royal exam in 1670 under King Le Huyen Tong when he was 32 years old. He worked as a high ranking mandarin for over 30 years. He was highly thought of by Lord Trinh for his “Loyalty and hardworking nature”.
Trần Cảnh 陳 璟 (1684-1758) passed the Royal exam in 1718 under King Le Du Tong when he was 35 years old. He was appointed as Title:Giám sát Ngự sử, Phủ doãn phủ Phụng Thiên, Tế tửu Quốc Tử Giám (Headmaster of Quoc Tu Giam), Tham tụng, Thượng thư (Minister)…
Trần Tiến 陳 璲 (1709-1770) was son of Tran Canh. He passed the Royal exam when he was 40 years old under King Le Hien Tong. He was appointed as Giám thí (Examiner of the Royal exam in 1769), Chief Academician (Title: Hàn lâm viện Thị độc).
