On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi(10/10/2019) and 4.352th anniversary of the founding of the state of Korea (3/10/2019), the Korean Cultural Center co, ordinated with Korea of Fund International Culture Exchange, organized the exhibition of photos “Seoul 4 Decades” from the 1st to 12nd of October at the Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.

Mr. Jeong Won Jin, the Consul General of Korean Embassy in Vietnam; Mrs. Park Hye Jin, the Director of Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam; Mr. Woo Hyung Min, the Lead Representative of office of Korean of Fund International Culture Exchange in Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, the Vice Director of Center for Scientific and Cultural Activity Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam were presented at the opening of exhibition.
Sixty-two works showed angles of 12 photographers of conflict between tradition and modern and destruction and establishment of Seoul of Korea, displayed in the exhibition.

The artists focused on describing pain given by modernization which imbued with Seoul song and pleat of modern history.

This was an opportunity for people to go back to old Seoul which had never disappeared too fast and too much, to be experienced in contradiction in Seoul song and to find out irrationality of space in this city.

Mrs. Park Hye Jin, the Director of Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam shared: “This exhibition will introduce rich photography of Korea and help Hanoians to understand Korea and be a strong step for cultural exchange between Vietnam and Korea”.
