The study tour of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam includes: incense offering ceremony, listening to the history of the site and the ceremony admitting students to Ho Chi Minh Pioneers’ organization.

It is an honor to be a member of Ho Chi Minh Pioneers’ Union and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, which marks a milestone of student life. The ceremony was even more meaningful because it took place at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam – the origin of learning in Vietnam. This relic is where many virtuous men were educated over 700 years, cementing the fondness for the tradition of learning in Vietnam.

Le Hanh Nguyen, a grade 3 student from Nguyen Du Primary school, states that it is her honor to become a member of Ho Chi Minh Pioneers' Organization, especially when the ceremony is organized in the first university of Vietnam.

Choosing Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam as the location of this important ceremony is also a way for schools to educate their students in Vietnamese learning traditions. Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Van, Vice Principal of Nguyen Du Primary school, believes, students will comprehend the valuable traditions from previous generations at this important relic during this unforgettable moment.
