To commemorate the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (23/11/2005 - 23/11/2019), the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports organized Ca trù singing contest 2019 for young talented people at Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam on November 2, 2019. The contest took place following the success of the previous one held in 2016.

This year, the candidates including eight groups, clubs in Hanoi and three freelance candidates entered the contest. They performed in thirty items.
The candidates of different age groups between four and thirty are young talented people from Ca tru singing clubs in Hanoi or freelance artists who can sing Ca tru or play musical instruments and perform classic dances very well. The contest aims to select female artists and actors who can sing Ca tru or play musical instruments well. Besides, the contestants are also chosen by singing or playing some tunes which are proposed by the examiners
Finally, 2 A prizes and 2 B prizes were given to groups; 3 excellent prizes to individuals; 6 A prizes and 4 B prizes to individuals; and 9 consolation prizes. Particularly, a prize for young singer was given to a 7-year-old girl.
