On the morning of 14/6/2019 the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam organized a 550 year celebration (1469 – 2019) of the date when Pricipal of Quoc Tu Giam Nguen Nhu Uyen passed the Royal exam at the Front Building of Thai Hoc Courtyard of The Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.

At the celebration Mr Le Xuan Kieu - Director of the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam respectfully presented his family a replica of passing the Royal exam paper for the event scholar Nguyen Nhu Uyen from Ha Yen Quyet village, Tu Liem province. This page is in the book Đại Việt lịch triều đăng khoa. The celebration helped the delegation learn more about the Life and career and credits of Doctor Nguyen Nhu Uyen.

Nguyen Nhu Uyen was the ancestor of Nguyen family in Ha Yen Quyet village. He was also founded the learning traditions of Nguyen family.
He passed the Royal exam in 1469 when he was 33 years old under King Le Thanh Tong. He worked as a high ranking mandarin for 30 years under Le dynasty. He was appointed as Minister of Mandarinate, Rector of Quoc Tu Giam… He established many victories, was granted a fiefdom by the king, including a title and established an inheritance in Ha Yen Quyet.

After celebration the scientists and delegates visited the homeland of Doctor, Principal of Quoc Tu Giam Nguyen Nhu Uyen at Cot (Ha Yen Quyet) village, Cau Giay district, Ha Noi.
