On November 12, 2019, the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam held a scientific conference "Dr. Do Nhuan - Life and Career" at Tien Duong house, Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam relic. The seminar was held on the occasion of the 553-year anniversary of the great coronation (1466-2019) of Dr. Do Nhuan.
At the workshop, through 18 speeches, scientists, researchers and descendants of Do family focused on discussing and evaluating the following contents:
1. Homeland and family of Dr. Do Nhuan
2.His life and career
3. Preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritages related to Dr. Do Nhuan
The speeches and opinions at the workshop affirmed the literary talents of Dr. Do Nhuan together with his great contributions to the homeland
Do Nhuan (1446-?) Of Kim Hoa commune, Kim Hoa district, Kinh Bac - now belongs to Bach Da village, Kim Hoa commune, Me Linh district, Hanoi. In 1466, he passed royal exam and was recognized as a Ph.Doctor. In 1471, he worked in the court. In 1484, he and other mandarins prepared essays, which were engraved on the stone steles that recorded the names of Ph.Doctors of the exams held from 1442 to 1481. He was the chief mandarin under Le Thanh Tong. (1460-1497). His literary talent is loved by the king.
The scientific conference "Dr. Do Nhuan-Life and Career" not only helps the current generations to better understand the talents and contributions of Dr. Do Nhuan to the homeland, country. Moreover, the workshop is also meant to honor the famous people and historical figures of Vietnam, which is very important for the conservation and promotion of values of Vietnamese cultural heritage
