Students from EVE camping trip were interesting in the heritage education program at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam. They participated in “Discover the stone stelae” program, playing the role of researchers in looking at the precious documents which are registered as The World Documentary Heritage..

CONSERVATION AND PROMOTION OF THE VALUE OF THE DOCUMENTARY HERITAGE OF THE WORLD - 82 DOCTORAL LAUREATE’S STALEA AT VAN MIEU – QUOC TU GIAM

The doctoral laureate’s stalea under the Le and Mac dynasties in Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam are extremely precious cultural assets to the Vietnamese people. They are symbols of the traditions that respect the talents of our ancestors. These 82 stone steles were inscribed on the Asia-Pacific Memory of the World Register in 2010 and the International Memory of the World Register in 2011.

CEREMONY TO CELEBRATE THE 550 ANNIVERSARY OF WHEN PRINCIPAL OF QUOC TU GIAM NGUYEN NHU UYEN PASSED THE ROYAL EXAM

On the morning of 14/6/2019 the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam organized a 550 year celebration (1469 – 2019) of the date when Pricipal of Quoc Tu Giam Nguen Nhu Uyen passed the Royal exam at the Front Building of Thai Hoc Courtyard of The Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.

SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR "CULTURAL TRADITION, AND THE ACADEMIC SCHOLARS OF TRAN FAMILY AT QUOC TUAN COMMUNE, NAM SACH DISTRICT, HAI DUONG PROVINCE"

On the afternoon of 13/6/2019, the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam in coordination with Institute of History and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund, and the Museum of Hai Duong organized the scientific seminar called “Cultural tradition, and the academic scholars of Tran family at Quoc Tuan commune, Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province”. The seminar took place in the Front Building of Thai Hoc Courtyard of The Special National Landmark Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam

DELEGATES FROM REPUBLIC OF CUBA VISITED VAN MIEU – QUOC TU GIAM

On June 11, 2019, Delegates from the Republic of Cuba led by Mr. Homero Acosta Alvarez – Member of Communist Party of Cuba, member of National Assembly of People’s Power, and Council of State Secretary, visited Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam

CÂY LÂU NIÊN Ở DI TÍCH VĂN MIẾU – QUỐC TỬ GIÁM

Phân bố đều khắp di tích là những cây cổ thụ như: cây đa, cây đề, cây si, cây nhãn, cây sấu, cây muỗm (xoài)... Lâu niên nhất là những gốc đa, gốc đề đã gần 300 năm. Cây cổ thụ chiếm đa số ở đây là cây Muỗm (họ nhà xoài).

DOCTORAL LAUREATE’S STELE - THE VALUABLE RESOURCES ABOUT HISTORY OF VIETNAMESE EDUCATION

Today, when visiting the Special National Landmark Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, visitors get a better view of the 82 doctoral’s stele which preserve the names and native places of 1,304 graduates of 82 royal exams (81 exams held by Le dynasty and one exam held by Mac dynasty) held from 1442 to 1779. These 82 stone steles were inscribed on the Asia-Pacific Memory of the World Register in 2010 and the International Memory of the World Register in 2011.
